Traditionally wrist and hand is treated by occupational therapists as well. At Achieve, we go through extensive training for everything from ART to Graston to Dry Needling for work with the distal extremities. Because of our focus with elite athletes, we see a great amount of wrist, hand and finger injuries. The health of the elbow, shoulder, neck and overall posture is imperial to the proper treatment of the wrist and hand. Acute injuries, such as falls, fractures, and breaks occur often. We help with return to life and sport- strength, dexterity, grip, coordination and more. For chronic irritation, such as nerve, tendon and TFCC injuries, extensive biomechanics assessment is done to see if there is a stability, strength, or alignment issue “up the chain” at the elbow, shoulder and neck, and especially for athletes, or endure the core is stable and activated with arm motion that requires both strength and velocity.
