Kevin Barton is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Mental Performance Consultant specializing in mental performance, athlete well-being, and high-performance psychology. He has experience working with athletes and performers across youth, collegiate, and elite levels.
Kevin’s professional approach integrates evidence-based sport psychology, counseling, and performance enhancement strategies to help athletes optimize performance while maintaining psychological health and personal balance. His clinical and performance interests include ADHD in athletes, performance anxiety, confidence development, identity and transition work, resilience, leadership, team dynamics, and the psychological demands associated with elite sport participation.
He also specializes in the psychology of injury and concussion rehabilitation, helping athletes navigate recovery, emotional adjustment, identity disruption, and return-to-play challenges. Kevin works collaboratively with athletes to support both performance outcomes and overall well-being throughout the rehabilitation process.
In addition to his clinical and consulting work, Kevin has contributed to presentations, workshops, and educational programming focused on athlete mental health, mentorship, and applied sport psychology practices. He has a particular passion for helping athletes and performers navigate both the psychological demands of competition and the broader challenges connected to identity, purpose, and long-term development.
